The main themes in this Corporate Financial Strategy course are financial analysis, diagnostics and assessing businesses based on balance sheets, results and cash-flow charts. These themes are studied through an integrated approach, taking into account the historical background and specifics of budget projections. Analysis is carried out with a thorough appreciation of the various elements at hand, such as finance and investment policies within a company. Investment Policy is preceded by a study of financial and fiscal calculation tools.
In this course, investment decisions are treated in cases of both foreseeable and unforeseeable future, insisting upon the use of mathematical calculation tools. Students will study and apply the benefits and drawbacks of using present value, net present value, annual equivalent value, and both single and compound internal annual return calculations within a variety of situations.
