Introduction :

Managing People Skills and Relational Intelligence

Nowadays, company executives need not only possess technical and scientific knowledge, they must also learn to develop the way they behave and react in a human environment, which is much more complex than it used to be: multi-generational relationships (X and Y), multi-ethnic relationships and a professional environment with many constraints (workload, productivity, result and performance obligations, etc..) Company executives are a different breed of leaders. Unlike artists and celebrities, they have direct authority over those they influence and control. Today, virtues such as courage, wisdom, tenacity and fairness are not enough to generate the admiration and commitment required to mobilize and produce - hence the need to manage otherwise. To understand, one must be totally receptive, without being passive, and learn to collaborate open-mindedly with his entourage: employees, customers, suppliers, partners, associates, as well as know about and distinguish the interests, roles and values of each, coordinate and negotiate.
